Abstract

Abstract The country’s objective of achieving “carbon neutrality” has necessitated transforming and upgrading rural energy systems. Establishing a comprehensive rural energy system is crucial to accelerate the development of a clean energy system in rural areas. This paper addresses the context of China’s “carbon neutrality” goal and presents a model for a rural integrated energy system that incorporates electricity, biomass energy, and PV. The model aims to optimize the capacity of energy devices while considering economic and environmental factors. Practical case studies are conducted to validate the feasibility of the proposed model.
