Abstract

The Un-Conventional or Non-Traditional machining process is aimed to produce products at right quality. WEDM (Wire electrode discharge machining) is unconventional advanced machining technique for better accuracy. In WEDM a thin wire is used to remove the material from the work piece through electrical spark. Parameters optimization plays a major role in machining process to achieve better quality. In this paper, a technique TLBO (teacher and learner based optimization) was used to parameters optimization in WEDM process of high speed steel (HSS) plates.
