Abstract

Additive manufacturing (AM) is the method for fabricating the components effectively. The components fabricated by AM process has wider applications in various domains. Fusion deposition modeling is one of the AM methodology that has been used for fabricating the components. Biodegradability of PLA makes the material as best alternate for plastics and carbon nano particles has been addedwith PLA which has the possibility using this material for various engineering applications. Taguchi’s experimental design is concept used for devising the experimentation with the help of selected independent process variables. Single aspects optimization has been performed by Taguchi’s approach. Tensile strength, toughness and roughness of the fabricated samples are considered as performance measures. Grey system theory is the methodology engaged for adopting the multi aspects optimization. The best possible process variables are identified for multiple experimentation measures. The effect combinatorial variables were identified by using the interaction analysis.
