Abstract

In order to improve the working efficiency of the mechanism and obtain better performance, the design of a six-bar punching mechanism is optimized in this paper. A mathematical model is established for the optimization design of six-bar parameters with the minimum pressure angle in the working section of the mechanism as the main design objective, the modeling and parametric design of a virtual prototype are done for the six-bar punching mechanism in Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems (ADAMS), which is used to carry out the target optimization design calculation for the parameters of the six-bar punching mechanism. The optimized mechanism has better motion characteristics, e.g., it can reduce energy consumption and obtain higher transmission power besides a smaller maximum of pressure angle of the working section and the absolute value of acceleration. Finally, a punching mechanism with a high mechanical efficiency is obtained, which provided a theoretical basis for the design of the six-bar punching mechanism.
