Abstract

In present days, the improvement of heat transfer is difficult task. The different techniques have been used to increase the heat transfer rate. Nano fluid was one of the methods to enhance the heat transfer rate. The different nano fluids such as oxides, carbides and nitrides were used. In the present paper was discussed to enhance the heat transfer through aluminium oxides with different base fluid such as water and engine oil. This topic was also discussed about the nano fluid systems with their contribution to the fluid properties such as viscosity, thermal conductivity and cooling effect. The different twist angle of heat exchanger pipe, mass fraction of the nano fluids and size of the nano particles were optimized through taguchi technique.
