Abstract
The article is devoted to the optimization of adaptive thermal reproducing systems in the infrared range. The possibility of introducing a general optimization criterion by calculating the geometric mean of two equivalent temperature indicators of high frequency temporal noise is shown. A problem of variational optimization has been formulated, the essence of which is to calculate such a relationship between the integration time and atmospheric transmission at which the objective functional, under some restrictive condition imposed on this function, reaches a minimum, which is equivalent to the minimum difference between the indicated equivalent temperatures.
