Abstract

A solution to the complete problem of optimal voltage scheduling and control in large scale systems is presented, as an extension of the “Differential Injections Method” for optimal voltage scheduling in a single system. First, the method is enlarged to perform an optimal, feasible and secure tertiary voltage control in a single system. Then, an extension is presented to a large scale power system, with decentralized areas, of both voltage scheduling and control : Whereas it is better to perform scheduling on a global basis, if possible, an optimal, feasible, secure tertiary voltage control may easily be decentralized.
