Abstract

A wide range of uncertain wind power integrated into the regional IES (IES) is a great challenge in the planning of IES. The energy storage as a flexible adjust source is regarded as a suitable facility to deal with the uncertainty of IES. Besides, multi-energy storage, including electric energy storage, gas storage and thermal energy storage, can improve operational efficiency and complementary in a certain degree. Therefore, in this paper, a planning method of IES including multi-type energy storage and fluctuant wind power is proposed to promote the dexterity of IES and accommodate more uncertain wind energy. In this model, the minimum total cost including the cost of operation, investment, loss of load and wind power curtailment is selected as the objective. The suitable energy storage capacity and the planning results of other candidate equipment can be obtained through solving the model. In the planning model, the scenario method is used to consider the influence of stochastic wind power in order to ensure calculation efficiency and accuracy. Finally, the IES coupled by IEEE-14 power system, NGS-14 natural gas system and TS-14 thermal system is established to calculate and analyze the planning model, and results show the validity and correctness of the proposed method.
