Abstract

The increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs) has promoted the development of an eco-friendly society. The charging and discharging behaviors of EVs have high uncertainties in time and space, which bring severe challenges to the location and capacity determination of EV charging stations. To make it more reasonable, this paper proposes an optimal planning method for EV charging stations considering environmental temperature and user behaviors. In this planning method, a charging model of EVs considering environmental temperature is established. Besides, with considering that users tend to choose those charging stations near their current route, a demand model of charging stations based on user behaviors is also constructed. On this basis, taking the minimum social comprehensive cost of the charging station as the objective function, an optimal planning model for EV charging stations is built, and this model is solved by the genetic algorithm. The test results of an urban area demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
