Abstract

This paper is concerned with the optimal sensor periodic scheduling for minimizing communication rate under LQG constraint. A novel two-parameter model is proposed to characterize periodic scheduling schemes. Closed-form expressions of the optimal two parameters are derived by linear programming theory. The minimum communication rate is also found based on the optimal two parameters. Simultaneously, optimal periodic scheduling schemes are constructed for the sensor under LQG constraint. Finally, one numerical example shows the efficiency of our design method.
