Abstract

The traditional operation control mode and electricity price mechanism of the virtual power plant are difficult to adapt to the new environment. In this paper, optimal economic dispatch of virtual power plant based on bidding is proposed to provide a framework for solving the interest distribution between operators and optimal scheduling problems of a multi-operator virtual power plant. Introducing a market bidding mechanism, the distributed generation operator searches for the optimal bidding function through Adaptive Process Harmony Search and submits it to the VPP dispatching center. The VPP dispatching center calculates the bid result based on the received information and returns it to distributed generation operators until the market reaches equilibrium. Simulation results show that this method can achieve optimal power generation of distributed generation in VPPs, form internal power prices that reflect the internal supply and demand levels of virtual power plants, and improve the competitiveness of VPP in market transactions.
