Abstract

Abstract Design parameters for optimum performance of alumina nano-material particles as well as turbulence promotors in heat exchanger have been chosen and presented in the present article. AHP-TOPSIS technique which has been obtained by alteration of the control factors has also been proposed in the present study on the basis of the outcomes of the numerical analysis of the parameters which define the performance, also known as performance defining parameters (PDPs). It has been quite evident from the results that particles diameter, concentration and design parameters of turbulence promotors are the factors on which the performance of Alumina nano-material particles rests upon. The optimum performance has been established at Dnp = 30 nm, LT/WT = 1.3, DPR/HPR = 1.0 and Re = 10,000.
