Abstract

The lightweight of vehicle-mounted traction transformers present higher requirements for heat dissipation structures. Thus, determining the appropriate heat dissipation structure can provide a significant contribution to the lightweight of traction transformers. In this paper, the lightweight technology of oil circulation traction transformers is reviewed. With the light weight of traction transformer as the study objective, the parametric model of traction transformer with two-dimensional oil ducts is established. The temperature distribution under different operating conditions with different oil channel sizes and winding axial lengths is analyzed to determine the optimal structure. The results can provide a reference for the optimization design of the oil channel of the vehicle-mounted traction transformer.
