Abstract

The thermal processes occurring in the procedure of endovenous laser ablation are studied on the basis of an initial-boundary value problem for the model of radiation-conductive heat transfer. The optimal control problem consisting in the approximation of an initial-boundary value problem solution to a specified temperature profile at a certain point of the model domain is formulated. The source powers spent on the radiation and heating of the carbonized optical fiber tip are taken as control parameters. An iterative algorithm of solving the formulated problem is proposed and numerically implemented.
