Abstract
In this work, we theoretically investigate the optical response in a hybrid optomechanical system comprising two coupled quantum dots (QDs) embedded in a photonic crystal optomechanical cavity with a third-order Kerr nonlinear medium. The microcavity is created by the sequence of distributed Bragg reflectors (DBR). InAs QDs and GaAs photonic crystal cavities have been easily integrated using well-known techniques. We show that the optical bistability, can be used to fabricate all-optical switches and can be tuned by the optomechanical coupling strength, nonlinear medium strength, and other parameters. The results of our study reveals that the proposed model can be used as an optical switch which is essential for various quantum practical applications.
