Abstract

AbstractA brief review of the electrodynamical properties of small metallic clusters is presented. Experimental results for absorption, photo‐yield and van der Waals interaction are given. Also, recent progress of the theory for the interaction between light and small metallic clusters is discussed. Comparison between experiment and theory shows that presently theory is not able to calculate correctly most of the electrodynamical properties of small clusters.
