Abstract
Abstract Experimental results on the usage of cubic photorefractive Bi12TiO20 (BTO) crystal in different geometries of passive phase conjugators are presented. Efficient dynamic phase holograms of a shifted type were recorded at the wavelength of a HeNe laser (γ = 633 nm) in an externally applied alternating electric field. The experiments succeeded in achieving a conversion efficiency of a double phase conjugating mirror using BTO of up to 40%.
