Abstract

The optical properties of three Sm(III)-β-diketonate complexes with different neutral ligands in methyl methacrylate have been investigated and the influence of the neutral ligand on fluorescence emission, Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters and metastable state lifetime was analyzed. The η intensity parameters and Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters were obtained from fluorescence emission spectra and absorption spectra, respectively. The metastable state lifetime measurements correspond with the results obtained from fluorescence emission spectra and absorption spectra.
