Abstract

Unintentional keep surgical gauzes are an uncommon medical failure but can have annihilating consequences in the patient sanity and in the surgeon professional honor. This problem seems readily preventable accomplish standardized protocols for enumerate but due to human errors it still remain in surgery. The ubiquity of gauzes, their fine size, and their uniform arrival with tissues when they are drench in blood constitute this error extirpation actually complicated. In custom to diminish the exposure of fortuitous keeping of surgical sponges in laparoscopy operations, In this paper we deliver an Video processing system that tracks the gauzes on the video captured by the endoscope. This extend system trend to track the deviate in the size of the gauzes along with challenging illuminations, and in the darker background. This superintend technique utilize Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) way to discriminate targets from primitive theme of interest supported on vegetation index values and tracking is done with optical flow. This is especially beneficial to track the active microorganism and the abnormal growth in the tissues and cells. This tracking output effect is expanded in MATLAB.
