Abstract
We develop a new pH sensor based on quantum dots combined with optical fiber sensing and photoelectric detection platform. Compared with traditional sensors, it owns the advantage of high sensitivity, fast test, and good stability. We find there is a certain relationship between the intensity of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots and the solution pH value ranging from 2–12. This kind of fiber pH sensor would have a promising future in the field of biochemistry, environmental monitoring and food safety.
