Abstract
Emission spectra of LiNbO 3 : Fe 3+ crystal were measured. Results show that there are 19 transition bands in the range of 10 4 to 4 × 10 4cm −1. Energy levels of Fe 3+ ions in LiNbO 3 were calculated by using a complete diagonalization procedure. The calculated bands are in good agreement with experiments.
