Abstract
Abstract : Very little work has been carried out on the mechanism of the spin lattice relaxation (SLR) processes between the Zeeman levels of the lowest triplet state of molecular impurity in molecular solids. Studies in zero field (zf) on the temperature dependence, and thus the mechanisms, of tau(1e) amongst the zf levels of the lowest triplet state have not been made for molecular solids. In the report, the authors present the results on the variation of the SLR rate constants (1/tau(1e)) with temperature using optical techniques in zf. Conclusions are made concerning the mechanisms of the SLR processes between the zf levels of the lowest triplet state of pyrazine-d4 in the temperature range 1.5-7.9K. (Author)
