Abstract
Three experiments relevant for optical data storage and image processing using the stimulated photon echo technique in rare earth ion doped crystals are described. These are: an apparent laser excitation energy dependence of the homogeneous dephasing time for these crystals, optical image processing on a nanosecond time scale using microjoule input energies and optical storage and recovery of multiple data bits.KeywordsMagnetic Field DependenceOptical StorageOptical Data StoragePockels CellDephasing TimeThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
