Abstract
Abstract The polarization and power dependences of excitonic polaritons in GaAs quantum well waveguide structures are investigated by means of time-of-flight experiments at low temperature. The anisotropic propagation of the polaritons discovered from the polarization characteristics suggests that the polariton effect is enhanced in the polarization perpendicular to the quantum well layer. Nonlinear effects of the polariton propagation are also observed to dominate when the incident laser light power is increased.
