Abstract

The absorption of Strontium–Barium Niobate: SBN61 pure, SBN61:Cr (0.01 mol%), SBN61:Co (0.01 mol%), SBN61:Ni (0.01 mol%, 0.5 mol%) and SBN61:Ce (0.01 mol%) single crystals, grown using the modified Stepanov technique, was measured and compared to the SBN58 and SBN58:Cr (0.02 mol%) single crystals obtained by the Czochralski method. The influence of the dopant’s type and concentration on the dielectric properties was analyzed. Moreover, direct observation of the domain structure evolution during polarization reversal was performed for pure SBN61.
