Abstract

The operationalization process presented combines the social and biomedical models of disability following a participative research plan based on tools and procedural steps from the International Classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF). The methodology, used to ensure that the improvements proposed within the MALL project were inclusive, aims to provide concrete answers to various issues: legibility and sharing of the contents and process; the respect for subjectivity, time and privacy of non-academic participants; the process of information sharing between researchers and other stakeholders, their participation in the decisions, etc. The methodology and the preliminary results presented in this paper provide concrete directions in terms of the impact of the MALL research studies on the life of people living with disabilities.
