Abstract
The ACE Act (summarized in the August 2021 issue) continues to generate considerable and impressive opposition from the nation's charitable community. Led by the Jewish Federation of North America and the Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative, 286 charitable organizations sent a letter, dated August 2, to members of Congress in opposition to this proposed legislation. Here is the essence of this letter, which stated that the proposal “would undermine important charitable tax incentives in ways that could be devastating to the vulnerable community members supported by our philanthropy.”
