Abstract

The purpose of this special issue is no longer to examine China’s growth and the implementation of the China dream during Xi’s 3rd term from China’s own perspective; rather, the emphasis is on observing China’s neighboring nations’ perspectives from their own perspectives. It is essential to conduct examinations across the political, economic, and diplomatic relationships that surrounding countries have with China under the leadership of Xi Jinping. Several focuses will be highlighted in order to enable a comprehensive investigation into the rise or fall of the practice of the China dream during Xi’s third term from the perspectives of the countries that surround China. These focuses include their hedging strategy views on China’s development, China’s international status, the power rivalry between the United States and China, and their respective strategies for China’s development. In addition, does the implementation of the China dream on tribute system include the reconstruction of the regional order and the relationship between the sovereign state (also known as the suzerain state) and the vassal states for the nations that are located in close proximity to Chinese territory?
