Abstract
Statistical analysis made on a sample of 432 pet owners in order to establish the criteria that are the basis for choosing a particular veterinary practice in Cluj-Napoca, highlighted different aspects, influenced by the population segment. Global analysis of the selection criteria for a particular veterinary practice highlighted the level of competence as being the major factor (48. 59%), followed by the recommendation (9.86%), the overall politeness of the medical staff and the location of the practice (9.16%), price (7.74%) the range of services offered by the practice (5.63%), work schedule and the equipment present in the practice (4.93%). The majority of the owners (90.90%) declared themselves satisfied of the services provided by the chosen veterinary practice, only 9.10% being discontented. The criteria that lead the owners discontentment were the position and prices (15.38%) followed by politeness, work schedule lack of equipment necessary to resolve the situation that the animal was in (7.69%).
