Abstract
Background: Zygomatic fractures by definition involve the orbital floor, and with greater use of CT in maxillofacial trauma, extensive defects to the orbital floor are often identified. Some recommend routine exploration and repair of the orbital floor during zygomatic repair, however this is controversial and there is a paucity of evidence.
