Abstract
No.5 and No.6 recovery boilers are operating at the sametime in Niigata Mill. After studying existing Problems and future plan in the mill, No.7 recovery boiler was installed, which has large capacity and operates at high temperture, pressure and efficiency.No.7 recovery boiler started up in mid-October in 1996, and expected results could be obtained through tuning and trial runs. Currently it continues to run smoothly around 75% of its maximum ioad as the treatment volume of black liquor. Our goal of environmental conservation, improving efficiencies, stable operation and so on are achieved by showing its ability sufficiently.We are aiming at attaining more stable operation throughcoping with new subjects which will happen in the future.
