It resulted in numerous articles in the Bell System Technical Journal, and in 1931 culminated in the publication of Shewhart's classical work.An early publication in the Netherlands is the report submitted by van Ettinger during the “Efficiency days” in 1930, while in 1954 Schaafsma and Willemze published the first Netherlands standard work on quality control.
