Abstract
AbstractThe distributed and dynamic characteristics of semantic Web make ontologies change constantly, that leads to ontology evolution and different versions of ontologies. In ontology evolution, changes would happen at domain, shared conceptual model and ontology representation, and then these changes would propagate and affect semantics of other elements. This paper focuses on ontology evolution detection, which is the foundation of ontology evolution problem. First, an evolution detection method based on similarity is proposed. Then the minimum cost of evolution strategy is also proposed to recover the reasonable evolution process. Experimental results show that this method performs well on OAEI benchmark data set.KeywordsOntologyOntology evolutionEvolution detection
