Abstract

Abstract The one-magnon light scattering in different types of magnets whose magnetic structure is noncollinear in exchange approximation has been studied theoretically with the help of symmetry analysis. The role of the exchange mechanism of scattering by acoustic and exchange modes has been elucidated. It is shown that the intensity of Raman light scattering by exchange magnons exceed far the intensity related to acoustic ones in opposite to the situation found in collinear magnetic structures.
