Abstract
An efficient one pot green methodology for the synthesis of acridinedione derivatives has been achieved by multicomponent condensation of dimedone, substituted aromatic aldehydes and ammonium acetate in the presence of Flyash-ZrO2 catalyst under solvent free condition. It is clean, eco-friendly, high-yield efficiency procedure with simple work-up, and easy purification method. The synthesized acridinedione derivatives are characterized using spectroscopic analyses like FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectrometry techniques. The synthesized catalyst was characterized using IR, SEM, TEM, BET and X-ray diffraction techniques. The results of these analyses show the formation of highly crystalline Flyash-ZrO2. This catalyst is a most efficient catalyst which gives the high yield of products in a short time.
