Abstract
We consider by numerically integrating the time-dependentSchrödinger equation the scattering of electrons by aone-dimensional potential well in the presence of a bichromaticlaser field of frequencies ω and 2ω or ω and 3ω and we investigate the transmitted andreflected scattering probabilities as a function of the relativephase φ between the two radiation field components. Wealso compare the results of this analysis with the probabilitiesobtained in earlier work in which the scattering problem wastreated analytically, receiving in this way a deeper insightinto this process.
