Abstract
An 82-year-old female patient presented as main complaint burning teeth, gums, and lips. In the anamnesis, we reported the diagnosis of clear cell carcinoma in the right kidney and metastasis in the lungs. Intraoral oral examination revealed lesions of pseudomembranous candidiasis in the jugal mucosa, palate, vestibule, and oropharynx, as well as lower lip ulcers. On return, she reported pain in the lower alveolar ridge, on the left side, with slight erythematous swelling. Panoramic radiography was requested, and later computed tomography scan. Bone cortical rupture and pathologic fracture of the mandible were observed, with a diagnostic hypothesis of neoplasia. Biopsy of the region was indicated; however, the patient was too weak. During hospital visit, we observed increased rash swelling and persistence of pain. Total improvement in the lesions of candida was verified. The oral cavity was cleaned and we realized the photographic record. Patient died 1 month after the last visit.
