Abstract

This is a speech presented by Juliet Darling at a symposium at Sydney's Justice & Police Museum in August 2013. The symposium brought together a range of people — judicial officers, artists, writers, curators, scholars, and more — to discuss the Forensic Photography Archive, which is an historical collection of police photographs held by the Museum. Juliet Darling, a film-maker, writer, and artist, was invited following the publication of her book A Double Spring: A Year of Tragedy, Grief and Love (Allen & Unwin 2013).
