Abstract
This paper adopts spatial panel data model and the data collected from 1998 to 2009 to analyse the relationships of tourism innovation and economic growth.The result shows that:tourism innovation and economic growth show a distinct spatial dependence;tourism innovation not only promotes the local tourism economy,but also has a positive economic spill-over effect on neighbour regions through the transmission mechanism.The result indicates that we should realize the role of tourism innovation in promoting tourism economic growth,and make full use of the spill-over effects to expand the role of tourism innovation in promoting tourism economic growth.
