Abstract
The article deals with the ways of actualization a feature by means of attributive constructions in the texts of M. Tsvetaeva. Structural and semantic means of promoting an attribute, to characterize the semantic features of both the definition (epithet) and the word being defined (the object of epithetization) are described. The peculiarities of attributive words actualization in the texts of M. Tsvetaeva are manifested by their unusual syntactic position within epithet complexes, occasional forms, figurative use, metaphorical and metonymic shifts of the epithet. The question of the productivity of metonymy as a generative mechanism for the figurative categorization of a feature is discussed in the process of modeling biased definitions. The conclusions, made as a result of the analysis of linguistic material, confirm the idea that the role of attributive vocabulary in the texts of M. Tsvetaeva is great. Epithets, occasional in form and semantic, are a reflection of a peculiar feature of the poet's idiostyle – linguistic reflection.
