Abstract
This paper presents the use of ElectroMagnetic (EM) simulation in RadioFrequency Interference (RFI) area. First, we describe a methodology to treat front door interference problems on large platforms. Based on a concrete example, we show that using EM simulation enables one to facilitate risk assessment, optimize antenna placement and understand complex physical phenomena. In the second section, radiating element modeling is discussed considering in-band and out-of-band cases. We finally show the benefits of using near-field box or equivalent sources representation to describe a radiating element into a large EM scene.
