Abstract

A detailed analysis of transverse momentum spectra of slow protons, deuterons, and pions produced in proton emulsion interactions at 400 GeV and π−C interactions at 40 GeV has been made. Various statistical parameters have been used to test the different forms of the transverse momentum distributions. The nature of the pT distributions of all the particles is similar in π−–A and p–A interactions at both the energies.
