Abstract
The Analects of Confucius is a classic of Confucianism and a treasure of Chinese culture. Therefore, translating The Analects of Confucius has always been one of the best ways for the west to know about China and Chinese culture. Based on the “going global” strategy of Chinese culture, this paper raises the importance of translating The Analects of Confucius. Then, from the perspective of the “domestication” translation strategy, this paper explores the main aspects of this strategy in Ku Hong-ming’s English translation of The Analects of Confucius. Finally, it expounds the significance and influence of Ku Hong-ming’s English translation of The Analects of Confucius in the world, and at the same time, the author’s views have also been made.
