Abstract
The temperature dependence of the glass transition activation energy for amorphous organic polymers and inorganic glasses is calculated using the Williams–Landel–Ferry equation for the relaxation time (viscosity). The results obtained are in satisfactory agreement with the experiment. The nature of the dependence of the glass transition activation energy on the temperature is discussed.
