Abstract
This paper discusses the system approach to development of machine-building industry in China. Modern manufacturing industry had already adopted the concept of inter-ration of the entire spectrum of manufacturing activities. From system analysis of present condition of China's machine-building enterprises, it seems that the best “tool” to create and control manufacturing systems is “information flow”. A two-step development program for the Chinese Machine-building Industry is discussed.
