Abstract

A family of discontinuous weighted-residual approximation methods are formulated for the spatial differencing of the discrete-ordinate neutron transport equation. Several known difference schemes are obtained as special cases of the approximation procedures considered. Estimates pertaining to the stability and convergence of a subclass of the methods are derived.
