Abstract
The schedules of call production by males of two species of Ranidella were investigated to establish the dependence of these schedules on time (viz., daily and seasonal rates) and weather (e.g., temperature, wind strength). These schedules and estimates of the elevation of metabolic rate during calling were used to evaluate the daily metabolic burden of call production.
