Abstract
The magnetic anisotropy constants before and after annealing have been measured for Fe 40Ni 40P 12B 8 and (F (Fe 0.1Co 0.5Ni 0.4) 78Si 6B 16 amorphous alloys by means of both the work of magnetization and magnetic torque curve. The results show that the main part of the in-plane magnetic anisotropy which does not change with annealing completely reflects the surface shape anisotropy and has no direct effect on the process of technical magnetization.
