Abstract

The magnetic anisotropy constants before and after annealing have been measured for Fe 40Ni 40P 12B 8 and (F (Fe 0.1Co 0.5Ni 0.4) 78Si 6B 16 amorphous alloys by means of both the work of magnetization and magnetic torque curve. The results show that the main part of the in-plane magnetic anisotropy which does not change with annealing completely reflects the surface shape anisotropy and has no direct effect on the process of technical magnetization.
