Abstract

The work studies the regularity of the solution to a hyperbolic equation. It shows how the result of a well-known counter-example can be corrected. Two independent sufficient conditions are given, which are superimposed on the right side of the equation and which, separately, ensure the regularity of the solution to the hyperbolic equation. The cases of homogeneous and heterogeneous initial conditions are considered separately.
