Abstract
An experimental investigation of impingement water evaporation under single and multiple air jets was made. Similar studies of impingement heat transfer from solid surfaces were also carried out; the heat transfer areas were nearly the same as those for evaporation. It is established that evaporative fluxes can be calculated from the rate balance between evaporation and heat transfer via heat-mass transfer analogy.
